Post traumatic growth

Yep, you read that right.
many of us are familiar with PTSD, post traumatic stress disorder. Many of us have PTSD from a traumatic event or a long traumatic relationship. The events of 2020 has given us all PTSD, as we all lived thru a traumatic, long-term exerpeince. We endured a time of fear, unknown and change when we felt very powerless.

having PTSD isn’t all bad. Once we acknowledge that the stressors of 2020 or our own traumatic history has changed us. For some, we develop fears, avoidance behanviors or discover that certain situations trigger a replay of the emotions we experienced from trauma. The good news is, there is help for PTSD. Working with a good mental health professional can help you understand  and begin to reclaim your power. Many find great healing working with bodywork, yoga, movement, creative expressions to help understand and release trauma still held in body and mind.


if life doesn’t hurt you, do you just roll along, not noticing that it’s not feeding you either. That you’re not becoming, helping, elevating. You’re just surviving. PTSD takes away the rutch of pretending your okay and you actually have to change, dig in, learn, embrace who you are and begin dreaming about why you’re here and what you want to do.
