It’s parade day in Canton Ohio. For those of you who aren’t local, Canton is the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We’re in midst of the annual HOF celebration and this morning is the big parade complete with bands, lovely women and men marching and waving, plus there are lots of those big, floaty balloons. Yippee! Or not? Continue reading “Be the parade?”
Go ride a bike!
I’m a hiker. I love to walk, climbing thru the woods, regardless of season. Well, that’s true most of the time. I struggle in the steaming heat of summer. I step outside the door and feel smacked in the face with a wall of humidity and heat. So… it’s tough for me to motivate myself to get moving. Continue reading “Go ride a bike!”
Expect to be _____
As you step into a new day, what do you feel? What expectations do you always carry with you? Do you expect to succeed, to be well, to be filled with joy? Continue reading “Expect to be _____”
what’s real?

My favorite tree
I love trees. I love the outdoors. I understand the power of spending time in nature. So, in my life spending time with 1000’s of trees, maybe more… how does one tree rise to the lofty honor of being my favorite? Allow me to tell you. Continue reading “My favorite tree”
Let it go
Fall is my favorite season. Cooler weather brings sweaters and wool socks and the feeling of being cozy. Savoring a cup of warm tea- bringing its heat to my hands and warming me within. It’s time to bundle up a bit and take a hike in nature.
Nature is always such a powerful teacher. The trees often “speak” to me if I can slow my mind enough to listen. Continue reading “Let it go”
