Finding what feeds you

My year of travel continues as I’m back in the land of the Big Water. I’m not really seeking answers or searching for something new. It’s more savoring what brings me great joy. After breakfast, I’ll have a hike to commune with my dear friend, Lake Superior.

Some people talk about Sedona as being a mystical, high energy place, which it is. Earlier this year I spent a beautiful month in Peru, another place of great beauty and energetic wonder. But for me, Lake Superior feels like a wise mother, welcoming me home. That deep blue water talks to me in a way no place else has lately. The Ojibwe called her “Gichigami” (“big water”). So grateful to be here in my wonderland for a few days.

Remember that your “source” can be found in so many ways, in many places. For me, I can connect with calm, peace, wisdom when I can be still. Sometimes the stillness is found in the few minutes after I wake up in the morning. Sometimes the stillness is in a pause to take that deep breath.

You don’t need to go somewhere glamorous or expensive to find your path. You need to take time with yourself… sensing what you’re feeling, connecting with your energies and then learning what builds energy in you. As a society, we’re more used to using chemicals to numb ourselves to get thru life. I’m more excited about exploring what heightens or cultivates positive sensations in me.

Take a look at habits that you’ve adopted as “normal” and decide if they’re feeding you, building you, opening you or are they just keeping you stuck in some place that’s just bearable. Maybe a pause in nature will bring you a shift in energy that you can use. The world is changing for the better, but to really enjoy and support the shifts, we need to shift a bit ourselves too. Have fun!
Sending light and love to us all. ❤️

Lake Michigan greeted me with this view as I drove in.
