Shadow and light

Are you eclipse excited or just “meh” about the whole thing?
I am excited, of course… the wonder and beauty of nature always trips my triggers. But I’m not as jazzed about physically seeing the event as I am realizing that it’s the energy of the eclipse that can affect us, whether we see it personally or enjoy the view from NASA photos.

Consider these ideas if you want to cultivate some eclipse excitement without venturing to a “good location” or joining a mass gathering. (Of course, if those things are your jam, journey on.) An eclipse is a shift, a break in the norm. Our source of light, energy, warmth is cut off for a brief time. Daylight is normal and not even thought of… suddenly it is gone midday! Across many cultures and times, an eclipse is thought of as a time of reset or transformation.

Energetically, the energy is here to help you make shifts or changes in yourself. Eclipse can remind you to ground to mama Earth and embrace your connection to all that is. The eclipse energy isn’t present just during the event but is already here and continues on after Monday’s crowning moment.

The eclipse demonstrates how light and dark can balance and magnify each other. It can be a perfect time for you to look at the shadows and light within you, considering how to find balance within. Our shadows aren’t necessarily “bad” stuff, just parts of ourselves that we might have tucked away. Your shadows and light can work together to help you find your unique purpose and power. The eclipse also can empower us to release old stuff that isn’t serving us anymore.

Our society seems to have gotten frightened of change but you can allow this eclipse to remind you that change can be beautiful, exciting and lead you to a fresh start in your life. So take a deep breath and allow yourself to ponder… what might this eclipse show me? Then put on your eclipse goggles and Have fun!! 💖
